With all the attempts so as to create these so called all-in-one vehicles, we always hear about the try to produce cars with split functionalities. Yes, I am talking about cars that can function as an airplane, a camper and so on. And for years, making a car that can function as a boat have been tried as well.
The first Amphibian car, as what they call it, was made in the 60’s by a German car maker. It was a big hit when it was revealed but after sometimes it was gone. And it’s been long years since the last amphibian car was seen.
In the Millenum, car makers are opting to make a car that does not only count because of the way it looks but because of the versatility of the vehicle as well. Then the Gibbs Aquada was unveiled in 2003.
At first glance, it looks like the Mazda Miata but if you keen enough to observe, the Miatas don't seat three across, and the driver seat is not definitely on the middle. If you notice, the Aquada driver heads for the water to put his ride's High Speed Amphibian (HSA) components to work.
But it’s cool that the driver doesn’t have to do the driving like that on the road. Driver’s involvement is never been simpler. All the driver needs to do is to push the button and wait for a while and that’s it. The amphibian car runs.
It also contains car parts like powertrain parts and wheels & rims that had to be hidden when on water. It spins on 100 mph and it is just enough considering its aerodynamics are the result of compromise but you can achieve 30 mph on water.
The functionality and quality of this amphibian car was proven and tested by Sir Richard Branson Virgin leader and icon over an English channel in a little time - about an hour and a half. In doing so, he firmly shattered the previous amphibious vehicle crossing record by over four hours.

No other automaker is getting a tremendous feel of the adrenaline rush today. News confirmed that the Dodge Avenger makes its racing debut on Sunday. This will take place at the Food City 500 which can be found at the Bristol Motor Speedway.
The Dodge Avenger has joined the Dodge Charger in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup competition this time. I bet all Dodge fanatics are excited with the Avenger’s debut. I myself am excited! Are you?
Getting ready for its racing debut, the vehicle was tested in different tracks all over the country. NASCAR’s 16 COT which races this year had been held on both ends for its preparation. The street-legal version of the Dodge Avenger is a mid-sedan with the combination of an aggressive character of Dodge with bold styling, tough Dodge parts and splendid interior features. It is a reliable car when it comes to its safety features, brake system, and fuel efficiency. The vehicle is known to run 30 miles per gallon on the highway and is rated at 32 mpg which is based on the 2007 EPA fuel economy standards.
The all-new Avenger 2008 is produced at the Assembly Plant in Sterling Heights Michigan which the starting place of its production. It will arrive next month in the various dealer showrooms.
The COT (Car of Tomorrow) program is a joint endeavor by the manufacturers, teams, industry suppliers, and authorized bodies. They aim for a safer and affordable race car that comes using a familiar design. The debut will take place in unique tracks and it will be the fastest and survival of the fittest. It surely is going to be the theme for this event. This would be the time for us to determine on how quick and tough the Dodge Avenger will be during the said event.
Racing through a 533-mile oval in Tennessee, with 36 degrees in the corners and 16 degrees in straights, with 500 tire burning laps to be finished! This race track was made for the toughest race cars and is not meant for the weak hearted. Now beat that!
Chinese Electric Car Flybo Goes to AmericaMarch 27, 2007
Electric cars are a trend nowadays. For many practical people who go for practical vehicles, electric cars are the best choice. And it seems like these vehicles are already making an impact in the world’s auto industry.
Most of these cars are based in Asia - most probably in Japan and China - whose creations are vastly known to the market. I haven’t experienced driving an electric car yet, but I know someday I will probably have an electric car of my own. If I have the money, of course. But still, I’m thinking positive and looking forward to having one for my own.
One of Chinese based automakers is Jinan Flybo Motors. Before, it was known that it would deliver pick-up trucks to America. An update to the company is that it will also bring and sell electric cars. Jinan Flybo’s flagship was named the XFD-6000ZK and that seems like a very complicated name like the Chinese’ dialect to me.
The name is likely to be longer than the model itself. Flybo’s length measures 102.3 inches long and it is much similar to the Smart in some angles with a wheelbase of 71-inch. It can charge up to a fair 70 miles and 45 mph is the Flybo’s top speed.
Customers won’t worry about anything because it’s definitely 100 percent legal to use for highway driving without worrying too much about traffic officers. On-road use of the Flybo will allow a smooth and convenient ride although it’s short and small and this sleek electric car can be a reliable partner on the road with a 48V electric motor.
Say hello to a new gas-emission and carburetor smoke free vehicle! I’ll see you around with your electric car in the future okay, probably the XFD-6000ZK? Cool!
MB CL 65 AMG RevealedMarch 29, 2007
I don’t have any idea about this before and it surprised me big time when I learned about it. For the first time, DaimlerChrysler presented the new Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG in The Netherlands and it was done specifically in Amsterdam AutoRAI.
And more shocking stuff has been loaded into my brain. Listen to this carefully: this top-of-the line car holds a 6-litre AMG V12-Biturbo engine! It releases a power of 1000 Nm torque with a raging 450 kW/612 horsepower.
All I can say now is WOW! Definitely a car that resembles the character of Superman and is quite a handsome ride too!
The coupe can create a great initial acceleration with an estimated time of 4.4 seconds that allows the vehicle to speed up and run to a high of 100kmh. And with the right amount of computations we can say that in less than 14 seconds, it will reach a speed of 200kmh spot.
Can you believe this? This is totally awesome!
The look of the vehicle’s exterior body parts emphasizes more on the car’s personality as a happy and easy-going character which hides the mean and strong side of this car. Just like Clark Kent’s disguise.
This coupe is indeed a pure-blooded AMG. Armed with an extraordinary AMG exterior styling, AMG rims, the AMG 5-speed Speedshift with direct-select and pedal, I think I’m sure going for this one. Some the best AMG parts can be found in the CL 65 AMG such as the brake system, its body control system, and other interesting features.
One of the best interior features of the CL 65 is the AMG seats with massage function. Just imagine how relaxing that would be! Pedals were designed in a sporty look and smooth wood finish.
What more could you ask from this super coupe? Luxury is all in the CL 65 AMG by Mercedes-Benz, no doubt about it!
