Services Quality of Limousines, CheckedJune 1, 2007
A commission information officer, Susan Carothers, is requesting to check the services quality of the limousine companies on their area. She said that all the limousine companies have to undergone inspection if they have insurance, if the drivers where licensed to drive the limos and if all these drivers have undergone drug testing. The inspection has to be done in order to permit these limousine companies the CPUC license to operate.
In addition, the CHP’s manager of the motor carrier safety program Greg Bragg made sure that these limousine companies are checked annually regarding the safety and security of the fleet firm that is able to carry more than 10 passengers. The PUC said that the limos with more than 10 passenger capacity are responsible for the maintenance. The companies has to undergo several evaluation handled by the periodic vehicle maintenance inspection. According to Bragg, they are inspecting all the cars with regards to its brakes, tires, interiors, Volant cold air intake, clutch disc as well as the car history.
These are the only sole requirements for the companies and as long as they compensate to these standards they will be considered safe - plus they will have the license to operate. However, they should also be aware that the gypsy limousine exists that these are the noted ones to be a little dangerous to the customers because they operate without license.
Carothers added that if these limousine companies have violated the standards, the issuing of licenses will be delayed plus they will pay the fine that amounts to $20,000 or more. Or the worst could happen - their business could be closed.
Limo Hunting For Your Wedding?June 8, 2007
Before you go on reading this, I would like to warn you that I am not going to tell you where you can find a limo for your wedding. But if you are thinking of how to get a limo for your wedding or any occasion for that matter, read on.
Most of us want a limo ride whenever we can get it. But the sheer cost of renting a limo which I am telling you is not as affordable as that BMW car cover you just bought last week, makes it practical to rent a limo on special occasions.
And what could be more special than you wedding? Before you answer going to the Super Bowl or the Indy 500, consider this: Would you rent a limo to go to the Super Bowl? (or the Indy 500 for that matter.) Ah, the wedding, after years, and for those lucky ones (?), weeks of wooing a girl, dating her, and finally getting her to marry you, one question out of all the others pops into your mind. How do I rent a limo for my wedding day?
Well, you can ask around the block and while you’re at it, you can pick up a couple of BMW relays for my X5. Or you can check out this site.
While it will not tell you where you can exactly find a good limo service, it will give you an idea of how to go about looking for one. One thing it can’t tell you though is whether you’re going to marry the right one or not.

If you are looking for a limo for a large group of person, it is expected that you will be shelling up major bucks. There are seven-seater stretch limos which may be enough to accommodate ordinary applications. But what if your entourage is composed of ten or twenty persons? But once you contact a limo service provider, you would know that there are indeed limos which can seat more than what a Nissan SUV with its Nissan Xterra parts can accommodate. Think about that.
For example, there is this company called the Luxury Limobus Charter which offers, you guessed it right, limobuses. According to the company’s website, they provide services for events such as:

With that lineup of features, it would surely be a good solution to your problem about that looking for a limo which can accommodate you and your 10-plus men crew.
Students Ride In Style For AcademicsJune 19, 2007
This was a great experience for Chad Smith who received a Cadillac Escalade limousine ride. He walked out of the Crestwood Middle School like a celebrity. And every eye of all Crestwood students was stuck on the SUV which was parked on the lot of the school. They wonder what this huge gallant SUV was doing inside the school.
Along with Jeff Mills and Javontae Walton, they were honored to be the most outstanding academic students and for as a complement to their achievements, they were picked out of the class to be one among the few chosen ones to ride on the limousine heading to the Celebration Cinema South to watch Shrek 3.
These students were given this rare chance because they have proven that they can achieve high grades and be outstanding among the class. And all their hard work as well as their patience has then become their key to experience riding the Cadillac Escalade limousine. This limo has an unidentified provider. Everybody in the school was stunned by the parked huge vehicle in the area.
Fred Sorbo, the coordinator of Kentwood Public Schools Home Intervention, said, "These are kids who were performing poorly last year and showed the biggest academic improvement. They were all failing and have now made the adjustments towards being successful. We want to publicly honor them. This kid here; (Smith) last year he had all E's and this year he has all As and one B. This is to celebrate academic achievement and to send a message to all these kids checking out the limo. This is just another way to show that we are creating a culture of academic achievement."
As of Smith, he wanted to be a football player and he is quite happy with his grandparents for they did do their share and helped him manage to raise his grade very quickly. He said that they also need recognition. "My grandparents helped me and pushed me. Plus you can't play football if you have bad grades," Smith said.
Both Miki Vernet, an East Kentwood High School junior, as well as Tarien Williams, a freshman, were the tutors for the programs and as a reward, they also joined the gang to watch the movie with their pupils.
"It feels good because I know I'm helping to make a difference. We would help them with questions they had and if I didn't know the answer, then Tarien would help," expresses Vernet.
The Director, Mark Wilson, of Kentwood Community Church Family was very appreciative that he said he will do something in order to honor these students who worked hard and managed to get it to the top.
He adds, "There are so many awards set aside for sports achievement, but very rarely do you see anything given to students who overcome academic struggles. For the school to do something for these students is different and nice."

The US President’s LimoJune 30, 2007
Have you ever wondered what the Presidential Limousine is made of? Or what brand and model it is? We usually see the President’s vehicle with convoys and bodyguards in the front, sides and back whenever a parade or any special event takes place - well, that is with the presence of the President. Well anyway, the 2006 Cadillac Presidential Limousine is a hand-crafted and armored version of the Cadillac DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan) specially built for the United States President.
The latest Cadillac DTS first appeared and used during the second induction parade of George W. Bush as President in January 20, 2005. The President’s Limousine was customized and built by O’Gara Hess and Eisenhart - names used to a former team of auto engineers which specialize in the armory of the President’s Limousine and vehicles for the heads of the state. These originated in 1942 at Fairfield, Ohio.
The construction group is now part of defense contractor BAE Systems Inc. BAE is an American subordinate of the British defense firm BAE Systems PLC. Armor Holdings, headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., acquired Fairfield-based O'Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt in 2001. In turn, Armor was obtained by BAE in May 2007. The transaction is planned to secure in the third part of 2007. The projected acquirement is presently being appraised for antitrust and national security propositions by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
